Nepal Police has arrested a person who vandalized and set fire to the building of the New Baneshwor Police Circle during the Gen-G movement.
The District Police Range Kathmandu has arrested Shivam Chaudhary, 18, a resident of Mahalaxmi Municipality, Lalitpur, who vandalized and set fire to the Singha Durbar, Parliament Building, Baneshwor Police Circle building and vehicles during the protest on Bhadra 10, and looted and misused police uniforms and other materials.
The range's spokesperson, Superintendent of Police Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, informed that Chaudhary was arrested on charges of vandalizing and setting fire to the police circle, abusing police personnel deployed for security, and making statements inciting the crowd to attack. Spokesperson Bhattarai said that necessary investigation is underway against Chaudhary who was arrested.
