Rajani Jonchhen, a member of the Nepali Congress Mahasamiti and former member of the Bagmati Provincial Assembly and former Minister of State for Bagmati Province, has passed away.
Rajani, who was also the wife of martyr Radheshyam Jonchhen, passed away this morning while undergoing treatment for cancer at Madhyapur Hospital, informed Congress Bhaktapur District President Durlabh Thapa.
Her mortal remains were kept at the Martyr Radheshyam Jonchhen Memorial Foundation, Katunje, established by the late Jonchhen, until 10 am today to pay tribute to her. Jonchhen was also the president of the foundation.
Congress central leaders Bimalendra Nidhi, Prakash Sharan Mahat, Bhaktapur President Durlabh Thapa and others paid tribute to Jonchhen by draped flags over his mortal remains. His last rites will be performed at Hanumanghat in Bhaktapur today.
