The remand of Rojina Sunar, 22, a resident of Kathmandu and Chinese citizen Zhao Zhong, who were arrested on November 20 during the Tihar holiday, was extended today.
Nepal Police has extended the remand of two people arrested with an undisclosed amount of Rs 6.985 million and gold jewelry by eight days.
The remand period of Rojina Sunar, 22, who is currently residing in Kathmandu and lives in two houses in Nilkantha Municipality, Dhading, and Chinese citizen Zhao Zhong, who were arrested on Kartik 20 during the Tihar holiday, was extended today. Both were produced before the Kathmandu District Court today after their leave was extended.
District Police Range Kathmandu spokesperson, Superintendent of Police Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, said that records of Sunar absconding in banking offences were also found.
Both were arrested by a police team based on information that illegal transactions were taking place in Sano Bharyang in Nagarjun Municipality. Four gold earrings, four bangles and five mobile phones along with Rs 69.85 million in cash were recovered from them.
