A rally was taken out in Bhaktapur Municipality today on the occasion of Nepal Sambat 1146. Nepal Language and Literature Department Munjya had taken out a Sanskriti Bhintuna (New Year) rally in the morning on the occasion of Nepal Sambat 1146 and toured Bhaktapur city.
The participants in the Bhintuna Rally took out a rally to wish Nepal Sambat 1146 with traditional Newari costumes, Dhimebaja, Flute, and Dhan baja.
According to the calendar of the Nepal Panchanga Nirikh Bikas Samiti, Nepal Sambat 1146 will start only from tomorrow, Wednesday. Apart from Bhaktapur city, other places in the country are celebrating the New Year with various programs on the occasion of Nepal Sambat tomorrow.
After the confusion due to the change in the date, the municipality celebrated Nepal Sambat 1146 today as per the decision of the meeting held in the presence of Taleju priests and astrologers Dr. Birendra Prasad Kayashtha and Kedar Prasad Daibagya Joshi, Bhaktapur Municipality Mayor Sunil Prajapati said. According to him, the Newar community of Bhaktapur city is celebrating Tihar by performing Mha Puja tonight and Kija Puja tomorrow.
