A street dog was killed by three-four youths with iron rods and stones near Supreme College in Tokha municipality-11 Samakhusi in Kathmandu at 6 pm on Saturday.
A person has been arrested for killing a street dog by hitting it with a rod near Supreme College in Samakhusi.
Spokesman SP Pawan Bhattarai informed that Anil Bhujel was arrested by the police stationed from Gongbu Police Division Kathmandu. We have arrested one person. The search and investigation of the rest is ongoing," said spokesperson Bhattarai.
On Saturday at 6 pm, a street dog was beaten to death with iron rods and stones by three or four unknown youths near Supreme College in Tokha Municipality-11 Samakhusi. Animal rights activist Irfan Khan and 6 people filed a complaint against four people on Sunday.
Animal rights activist Khan made the CCTV footage of this incident public through his Facebook.
In the prevailing laws of Nepal, it is forbidden to treat any animal cruelly, to kill it cruelly. There is a provision of imprisonment for up to three months and a fine of up to five thousand rupees for those who commit such crimes.
