Animal rights activists have filed a complaint against four people for killing a street dog by hitting it with a rod near Supreme College in Samakhusi.
Animal rights activist Irfan Khan and 6 people filed a complaint on Sunday at Gongbu New Bus Park. On Saturday at 6 pm, a street dog was beaten to death by three or four unknown youths with iron rods and stones near Samakhusi Supreme College, Tokha Municipality-11.
Animal rights activist Khan has made the CCTV footage of this incident public through his Facebook . In the existing laws of Nepal, there is no ban on treating any animal cruelly or killing it cruelly. There is a provision that those who commit such crimes will be imprisoned for up to three months and fined up to five thousand rupees.
