IGI Prudential Insurance has handed over funds to the dependent families of Nepal Police who were killed and injured during the protests on August 23 and 24.

A sum of Rs 150,000 was given to the dependent families of three policemen who died in the line of duty in the protest and a total of Rs 50,000 for the treatment of one injured police officer was handed over to the Nepal Police on Sunday.

 During the demonstration following the movement led by Jen-ji, police sub-inspector Milan Rai of Maharajganj police circle, police constable Uttam Thapa and assistant constable Amrit Gurung of police division Koteshwar lost their lives.
