Passenger help desks at 14 locations in the valley for Dasain

As the Dasain festival approaches, passenger assistance rooms will be established at 14 different places in the valley where there is a rush of passengers. Accordingly, a passenger assistance room has been put into operation at the new bus park Gongbu on Thursday.

Saroj Sitaula, senior vice president of the National Federation of Nepal Transport Professionals, said that work is being done to bring it into operation elsewhere. According to him, if someone cheats a passenger on a ticket or if they do not get a vehicle despite having a ticket, the passenger can go to the passenger assistance room near the counter and complain. Where there will be employees of the Traffic Management Department and the police. Keeping this in mind, the passenger assistance room has been brought into operation, the department said.

This time advance ticket booking for Dasain will not be opened. Transport professionals say that even if bookings are not opened with much fanfare due to the harsh conditions of the country, passengers will not be left with a shortage of tickets and buses. Passengers can now book tickets to go home on Dasain.

Passengers have been leaving the new bus park at Gongbu for a few days now. Now that the campus is closed, the number of passengers leaving the valley and going east-west has increased. In view of the festival, the Department of Transport Management has decided to open the form permit for the day of reduction (October 6) to October 22.
