One video x-ray machine and two venometers have been supported to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (Teaching Hospital), Kathmandu's Department of Pediatric Surgery in conjunction with Rotary Natalpol.
A portable video x-ray machine is provided to ensure ease during emergency treatment in the pediatric surgery ward. In addition, due to the lack of drug detection equipment (venometer) in the hospital, the treatment of sick children is becoming uncomfortable, so this problem has been helped to solve.
Sagar Lohani, a member of Rotary Natalpol who has been doing educational business in Australia and director of Churchhill College, has provided this support.
Captain Vijay Lama handed over the equipment to the hospital . Capt. Lama said that many people who served in the home country have contributed greatly to the health sector in Nepal even though they were abroad. Dr. Dinesh Koirala, Associate Professor and Senior Pediatric Surgeon of
Teaching Hospital, said that this kind of support in the hospital will make the treatment of patients easier and will help in the fast and standard treatment of other diseases.
Donor Lohni said that he decided to support the hospital because it would be much easier to treat children if it has a venometer and video X-ray equipment with modern technology .
Lohani, who has been involved in social work for a long time, has been in Australia for the last 17 years. Rotary Nyatpol and Lohani have been providing various materials and financial support for treatment in the hospital ward. In the upcoming Rota Year 2025/26, Rotary Natalpol plans to provide more needed support in the surgical ward. During the handover of the
equipment, Associate Professor Brendan Boyle of the University of Newcastle, Australia, David Knight, Chief Executive Officer of Churchhill College, and Sibon Labina, a representative of Churchhill College, visited the hospital's pediatric surgery ward . After the observation, they have expressed their desire to cooperate in the future .
