The police have recovered a lump of gold with illegal amount of around 40 million from a house in Gongbu.
According to the spokesperson of Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Senior Superintendent of Police Shekhar Khanal, when the police raided the house, a large amount of money and gold were found.
'We have found 3 crore 75 lakh rupees during the raid based on the information. We are in the process of counting the money," Khanal said. "Along with the money, lumps of gold have also been recovered from the house."
Vinod Kumar Shrestha has also been arrested from the same house. The police said that they are investigating the incident with him. Khanal said that the police are investigating who the money belongs to and who kept it.
