Sunita Dangol, the Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has suggested that Metropolitan Police should act as representatives of organizations and not as representatives of individuals.

On the occasion of the 33rd Metropolitan Police Day, Deputy Mayor Dangol gave this suggestion at a program organized in Kathmandu on Saturday. Targeting the allegation that Metropolitan Police operates only according to the instructions of Mayor Balendra Sah, she urged them to act as representatives of organizations and not individuals when working in the field. She also asked to establish a standard that represents the rule of law.

Dangol said, 'Whenever you go to the field wearing a uniform, you can establish that I am not a person's representative, I represent an organization, I represent the rule of law. This is the best of luck to all of you.

She urged all city police to establish good governance in Kathmandu Metropolitan City and be an example.
