Due to the incessant rain on Friday, a landslide has occurred in Tokha in Dhapasi, Kathmandu.

Landslide occurred in Lampakha Chake, Tokha Municipality-4, Dhapasi due to incessant rain. The road is completely closed due to landslides. As the landslide knocked down 6 poles including a transformer, electricity supply has been stopped in the area since Friday. The landslide caused minor damage to Salesberry as trees felled.

Landslides are removed and the road is opened. Pratap Khatri, a local resident, says that due to the height of the wall, the soil has started flowing. He said that the wall built by the ward after building the park was destroyed. Surendra Shrestha, a local, said that the landslide may have occurred because the foundation was built from above the wall. He alleges that the foundation of the wall was not dug properly.

Locals have said that the wall cracked a few days ago but they covered it with plastic.
