A scooter and a motorcycle collided in Budhanilkanth. Both drivers died

Two people were killed and three others were injured when a scooter coming from Golfutar to Budhanilkanth Narayansthan and a motorcycle going from Budhanilkanth to Golfutar collided with each other.

The dead and injured have been identified in the traffic accident that took place at 1 o'clock Sunday night in Budhanilkanth Municipality-7, Special Chowk of Kathmandu.

Bagmati Pradesh 02-041 P 6819 coming from Golfutar towards Budhanilkanth Narayansthan and a Pradesh 3-02-002 P 572 motorcycle going from Budhanilkanth to Golfutar collided with each other, two people were killed and three were injured . SP Apilraj Bohra, spokesperson of District Police Complex Kathmandu, informed that there were three people on a motorcycle and two on a scooter.

Bhola Thapa, 29 years old from Siraha, motorcycle driver and Ramuprasad Dhakal, 29 years old from Syangja Andhikhola, scooter driver. Now living in Bansbari, Kathmandu, Thapa used to work as a driver in Mainpower Company. He has two sons aged three years and five years. His wife went to Serbia only a month ago. Another deceased Dhakal was also married some time ago.

There are two more people on the motorcycle who work as drivers and co-drivers. The police informed that all three of them are good friends. 24-year-old Eric Pariyar of Arupokhari, Gorkha, who was riding the motorcycle, sustained injuries on his forehead and left leg. 29-year-old Naveen Magar of Khotang Pasikot got an injury on his head. Magar was in the middle of the motorcycle .

Eepak Pariyar of ex-Nawalparasi Gandakot who was riding behind the scooter has been injured on his left hand and head. The scooter driver Dhakal and Pariyar were also good friends. Their families told the police that they worked together even abroad.

The injured are currently being treated at the University Teaching Hospital, while the bodies of the dead have been kept for autopsy. A police officer informed that the speed of both vehicles was higher than normal at the time of the accident on the CC camera.
