The police have arrested four people involved in hundi business with foreign currency and cash near Kalo Pul in Kathmandu.
4 people have been arrested from Kalopul area of Kathmandu for being involved in illegal foreign currency trading and hundi activities. Among those arrested, 2 are Indian nationals.
Police arrested 33-year-old Vikram Jaiswal, a resident of Sitamadi Bairagania in Bharat Vihar Pradesh, 33-year-old Munna Jaiswal, a resident of Motihari Chirhia, Om Prakash Jaiswal, 27, of Mahagadhimai Municipality-3, Bara, Nepal, and Manmohan Kumar Singh, 25, of Mahagadhimai Municipality-5, with foreign currency and cash.
District Police Complex Kathmandu Police Spokesperson Superintendent of Police Appelraj Bohra said that they were arrested on the basis of a secret tip-off that hundi transactions were being carried out from Dera Kotha near Kathmandu Metropolitan Police-5 Kalo Bridge on the afternoon of July 29. The police recovered fifteen lakh thirty three thousand rupees in cash and 5 mobile phones of different companies from them.
According to Bohra, during the investigation, they It has also been revealed that crypto currency transactions worth 66 million 63 thousand 636 rupees have been made. Bohra informed that further investigation is being carried out against them.
