Nepal Police has arrested a foreign woman with drug cocaine from Tribhuvan International Airport.
The special police team of the Narcotics Control Bureau, Branch Office Tribhuvan International Airport arrested 21-year-old Brazilian citizen Emily Michael Santos Ferreira while she was hiding inside her bra. According to Jeevan Niraula, Police Superintendent and Co-Spokesperson of
Bureau, the woman came to Nepal from Brazil via Doha on July 21. She was going to Bhutan via Nepal.
During the check-in at the departure hall of the airport, 1 kg 950 grams of drug cocaine was recovered after questioning and searching him.
According to the bureau, a case has been registered against the arrested Ferrera under the Narcotics (Control) Act, 2033. Co-spokesman Niraula informed that the District Court Kathmandu has extended the deadline and further investigation is underway.
