Two persons who absconded after robbing gold coins on the pretext of buying vegetables were arrested

On Saturday evening, the police arrested two people who were absconding after robbing a gold sikri in the vegetable market of Machhapokhari, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16 on the pretext of buying vegetables.

Those arrested are 21-year-old Kaushal Basnet and 26-year-old Milan Tamang of Tarakeshwar Municipality-8 Jarangkhu.

Both of them together robbed 51-year-old Lakshmi Ghimire of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26 Samakhushi Town Planning 2 tola 25 red gold jewelry worth 4 lakh 38 thousand rupees and escaped.

The team deputed from Balaju police station arrested the two people along with the looted sikri near the Machhapokhari Kumari Sthan temple. The police said that further investigation is going on in this regard.
