A police team has safely rescued a person who fell into the sewer near Baba Chowk in Kageshwari Manohara Municipality-6. Police rescued 60-year-old Toran Bahadur Basnet Chhetri, a resident of Dolakha Vaidya Rural Municipality-5, who was swept down about 100 meters from the sewer.
Currently residing at Kageshwari Manohara-6, Mulpani Khare, he was returning from visiting a relative's shop.
Thursday afternoon at 12:15 p.m., a team of 10 people under the command of Deputy Superintendent of Police Jaishchar Rimal rescued him from the Buddh police circle.
According to the police, there is no injury on Basnet's body and he has been handed over to his brother Rudra Bahadur Basnet. "There was a similar incident in this place before," said brother Basnet, "because there was no rain, there was no major accident." He also requested the local level to pay attention to the risk areas and install wire netting.
