32-year-old Niku Rai of Morang Belbari Municipality-3, who was living in a squatter settlement, was arrested with drugs.

Rai, who was living in a riverside squatter settlement in Samakhushi, was arrested by the team of Narcotics Control Bureau Koteshwar after it was found that she was engaged in drug dealing by renting a room in Balaju for Rs 7,000. According to Bureau Information Officer Police Superintendent Janak Bahadur Shahi, he was arrested with 35,590 tramadol capsules and 12,500 kilograms of marijuana from a rented room. bureau also arrested Kunga Tamang and Padam Bahadur Mahte with drugs from a room in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14, Balkhu on June 13. According to the bureau, a total of 31 thousand 101 ampoules of buprenorphine, diazepam and phenargan were recovered from their room.

Superintendent of Police Shahi informed that the investigation is proceeding according to the Narcotics (Control) Act 2033.
