A foreign national has been arrested with the drug cocaine at Tribhuvan International Airport.
Narcotics Control Bureau Tribhuvan International Airport Gaucharan Branch arrested 45-year-old Abdus Samad Jamal Mansuri. Police Superintendent Janak Bahadur Shahi informed that 3 kg and 400 grams of cocaine were found in the bag of Mansuri who was arrested from the arrival parking area of the airport. He came down to Kathmandu from Qatar Airways at 6 pm on Wednesday.
Mansuri is an Indian citizen with an address in Maharashtra, India. "Students have been bringing cocaine along with clothes in bags that they can carry," Police Superintendent Shahi said.
Even before this, the police has been investigating and arresting drug dealers based on suspicion. The police have now initiated further investigation against Mansuri under the Narcotics (Control) Act, 2033.
