The police have arrested two absconding defendants in the duty killing case after 24 years.

Durga Narayan Budha and Pars Bahadur Budha of Myagdi Dhaulagiri rural municipality-3 are among those arrested.

According to the police, Pars Bahadur was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment in the duty killing case by the decision of the District Court of Myagdi on 25th February 2059 and was absconding. On the other hand, Durga Narayan was sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment by the judgment of the same court dated 26 October 2066 and was absconding.

Police stationed from Gandaki Province Police Office Pokhara arrested them from Kathmandu Tarakeshwar Municipality-1. They have been sent to District Police Office Myagdi for necessary investigation and action, police said.
