Coliform was found in the drinking water of the central office of the Metropolitan Municipality, a fine of two lakhs

A fine of two lakh rupees has been imposed after coliform was found in the drinking water being used in the central office of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

Along with the fine, KAMPA has also broken the contract with the water supplier. Department of Agriculture and Livestock sent a letter to CN Enterprises, which is supplying drinking water in Kampa, and the head of the department, Nurnidhi Neupane, informed that the agreement to supply drinking water was canceled by the decision of the chief administrative officer. According to him, it is said in the letter, 'Coliform was found during technical testing of the drinking water supplied to this office. Section 19 of Kampa Market Management and Monitoring Act 2077 has been attracted and a fine of two lakh rupees has been set according to Section 30.
