Executive meeting of Kathmandu Metropolitan City will be held on Monday. Navin Manandhar, spokesperson of the metropolis, said that the meeting of the executive committee is being held on May 19.
He said, "In Badak, we all discuss the plan and budget for the next year."
According to the Local Government Operation Act 2074, the meeting of the executive has been arranged once a month. Since the authority to call and conclude the meeting rests with the city head, the executive meeting of the metropolis has not been held for six months .
Executive members of the metropolis submitted a letter to Chief Balendra Shah on May 12 to call for a meeting. If the members request to hold a meeting, the chief appoints the time and place to convene the executive according to the law.
Likewise, the metropolis has also called to collect suggestions for budget and policy making.
