An old man died on Wednesday morning when a fire broke out in the house of Dayaram Shrestha at Mahadev Chowk in Makhantol, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-24. 80-year-old Bishnumaya Adhikari, who was on the fourth floor, died when a fire broke out on the third floor of a crude house made of clay and wood. Three people were also injured.

The next day, on Thursday, a fire broke out in a two-storied commercial building in Satungal, Chandragiri Municipality-11, Kathmandu. According to the police data, only 32 fire incidents have occurred in the month of Baisakh in the valley. 1 person died and 10 people were injured in the fire. 5 houses were damaged in the fire. During this time, there were 615 fire incidents across the country. 10 people were killed and 69 people were injured. It is mentioned in the police report that cattle sheds, barns, schools and government offices were also damaged in the fire.
