The police have arrested the absconding defendant after a red notice was issued by Interpol in the extortion case.

One of the arrested is Robin Tamang of Dolakha Gourishankar Rural Municipality-5 Suri Danda. He was arrested at Tribhuvan International Airport while coming to Nepal from Saudi Arabia.

A red notice was issued against him on August 21, 2023 by the General Secretariat of Interpol after a request was made by the District Police Office Dolakha to arrest him at the international level, who is absconding in the case of coercion.

Nepal Police Head Office Interpol Branch has informed that he has been sent to the police station for necessary investigation and action.
