Kathmandu Metropolitan City has collected revenue of 7 billion 21 crore 62 lakh 84 thousand rupees in nine months of the current financial year. The metropolis has informed that it has collected revenue equal to that amount till 7th Baisakh 2082.
Deepak Adhikari, the head of the revenue department of the metropolis, said that the revenue was collected under the headings of house restoration, property tax, judicial fees, tourism fees and others. The metropolis has collected 2 billion 11 crore 65 lakh 84 thousand rupees in household tax from July 2081 to April 7, 2082. Similarly, he said that 94 crore 75 lakh 26 thousand revenue has been collected in property tax.
'We have regularly mobilized the business tax team . We have sent a letter to the taxpayers who have been paying more than 1 lakh rupees and requested them to pay the tax,' he said, 'In coordination with the Internal Revenue Office, we have included the details of the taxpayers who paid house tax to the revenue office last year in the details of the metropolitan corporation.'
