Kathmandu Metropolitan City Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol has been selected as a global youth leader for the World Economic Forum 2025 from Geneva, Switzerland. Dangol has been chosen as a young politician who inspires the youth and connects cultural identity with modernity.

"Being able to represent on a world-class platform has given me an added responsibility," she said after being selected. Dangol was previously a member of the World Economic Forum's Global Sapers Kathmandu Hub. Representing the government of 7 regions in this group which has representation from 50 different countries, Deputy Chief Dangol was selected. The group consists of 116 young leaders of the world under the age of 40.
