In Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Congress ward presidents have demanded an immediate executive meeting before Mayor Balendra Shah to inform about the chief administrative officer.
Executive meeting has not been held in the metropolis since last December. In the same situation, the Congress executive members of the metropolis demanded an immediate meeting of the executive before Mayor Shah on Sunday.
Metropolitan spokesperson Naveen Manandhar informed that an executive meeting has been requested to inquire about the action taken against Chief Administrative Officer Saroj Guragai.
What initiative was taken for the chief administrative officer? And it is not only brought by individuals and places, but by institutional form," he said, "and the main committee of the metropolitan city is the working committee. The board is the same. We have demanded that the city should not be left without an executive by making a decision from the board itself.'
He said that the head of the city, Shah, responded that he would arrange a meeting within 2/3 days.
'Only we have demanded executive . Due to the lack of an executive, financial sustainability is not possible,' he said.
