The police have arrested 6 people on the charge of fraud of 85 lakh 52 thousand rupees by saying that they will send them to different countries under the lure of attractive salary for foreign employment.
Among those arrested are Saru Periyar of Gorkha Arughat Rural Municipality-4 and Kathmandu Metropolitan Municipality-16, James Rana of Kanchanpur Belauri Municipality-3 and Tokha Municipality-3, Rekha Tuladhar of Kirtipur Municipality-6, Ravi Khanal of Dhading Nilakantha Municipality-9 and Kathmandu-16, Taplejung Sirijanga Rural Municipality-1 and Budhanilkanth Municipality-8 and Lalit Bahadur Evaram and Dipesh Subba Limbu is there.
Among those arrested, Saru took 250,000 rupees from the victim saying he would send it to Australia, James 300,000 rupees saying he would send it to Croatia, Rekha 13,200 rupees saying he would send it to Japan, Ravi 14 million rupees saying he would send it to America, and Lalit and Dipesh 53 million rupees saying they would send it to America.
Based on the complaints of the victims, the police deputed from Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office Teku arrested them from different places in the valley. The police said that they have been sent to Foreign Employment Department Tahachal Kathmandu for necessary investigation and action.
