In Thapathali, Melamchi's water supply pipe burst, causing a pothole on the road.
On Tuesday morning, when the pipe burst, the auxiliary road leading to the maternity hospital had a pothole and the pedestrian crossing was also destroyed. Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Center has stopped the water coming to the place after the pipe burst.
Since morning, the employees of the Metropolitan Municipality have come and are cleaning the roads and repairing the pipes with the help of dozers. Some nearby houses and shops have been submerged due to the bursting of pipes.
On January 30th, Babarmahal was submerged in water after the Melamchi water supply project pipe burst. After the pipe burst, the road in front of District Court Kathmandu and the government offices inside the forest complex were flooded.
