The 10th foundation day of the National Youth Council was celebrated with various programs on Monday. The day of formation of the council on 19th February 2072 is celebrated as the establishment day.

In a program organized by the council, Youth and Sports Minister Tejulal Chaudhary said that he is active in doing result-oriented work in favor of the youth. Minister Chaudhary said that Nepali youth should instill hope and confidence within the country. He said, 'We are emphasizing on youth employment, entrepreneurship, capacity development and leadership development while updating the national youth policy for the development and empowerment of the youth.'

The Executive Vice President of the National Youth Council, Surendra Basnet, said that despite the limited resources and means, the council is working towards youth empowerment and entrepreneurship development. Basnet coordinated the government at the same level. He emphasized on the need to advance youth targeted programs. Expressing good wishes on the occasion of the 10th Foundation Day, Member Secretary of the National Sports Council, Tanklal Ghising, emphasized that the Youth Council and the Sports Council should cooperate with the youth at the center.

Discussing the efforts made to move the council forward in the initial stage, Madhav Dhungel, the former executive vice president of the council, said, 'The problems of the youth have been identified, now everyone must join in solving them.' Dhungel said that even though the policies and structures of the youth have been made, relatively results have yet to be achieved.
