Two people were injured in Kathmandu when they ran away during the 6.1 Richter scale earthquake that occurred on Friday morning with its epicenter around Bhairavkund in Sindhupalchok.
Senior Superintendent of Police Shekhar Khanal, spokesperson of Kathmandu Valley Police Office, informed that two people were injured while fleeing to Baneshwar. Among the injured are Prashant Thiling, resident of Triyuga, Udaipur and resident of Shantinagar, and Hari Gayre, resident of Baneshwar, resident of Nawalparasi Madhyabindu.
The police have informed that Thiling was injured after falling on a road while running away and Gayre was injured while running away from the hostel.
The earthquake occurred at 2:51 this morning.
Nepal Police Spokesperson and Deputy Inspector General of Police Dinesh Kumar Acharya said that although there were reports of houses being destroyed and some minor injuries in some districts of eastern Nepal, there was no major damage.
