Prakriti Lamsal, who was found dead in the hostel of the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University in Bhubaneswar, the capital of the Indian state of Odisha, was protested in Kathmandu on Tuesday demanding justice.

Youth, students have demonstrated in different places of Kathmandu. The participants in the demonstration displayed placards with slogans such as 'Stop oppression of Nepali students', 'End violence against women', 'Guarantee the safety of Nepali students', 'Give justice to nature'. 

Lamsal, a third-year B-Tech student, was found dead in her hostel on Sunday evening. According to Nepali students, Lamsal was repeatedly abused by Indian student Adhik Srivastava. They say that Lamsal committed suicide after becoming unbearable. 

Earlier, Lamsal had also filed a complaint against Srivastava in the university administration saying that she had been abused. However, the Nepali students say that the university administration did not listen to the complaint.
