The police have arrested 2 people on the charge of defrauding money by saying that they will send them to America and Canada for foreign employment. Police arrested 25-year-old Bhuvan Karki, resident of Kanchanpur Shuklaphanta Municipality-1 and resident of Kathmandu Tokha Municipality-6 and 42-year-old Nitesh Pokharel, resident of Kathmandu Kageshwari Manohara Municipality-3.
It is alleged that among the arrested, Karki took Rs 1 crore from 3 victims saying he would send them to America and Pokharel took Rs 12 lakh from 4 victims saying he would send them to Canada. Based on the complaint of the victims, the police deployed from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office Teku arrested them from Kathmandu itself.
Karki has been sent to District Police Complex Kathmandu and Pokharel to Foreign Employment Department Tahachal Kathmandu for necessary further investigation and action.
