Kathmandu Valley Development Authority has started demolishing the buildings built by encroaching government land in Dhobikhola Corridor located in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-7.

On Sunday, the authority's team started demolishing the buildings near the Malpot office in Chabahil, Kathmandu.

According to the authority, the building had to be demolished because government land was used to build the building. In the process, the locals also obstructed for a while. According to the Valley Development Authority, the work has been started from today to remove non-standard structures and structures built on public land. It is said that about 500 ropani land on Dhobikhola and Wagmati river bank has been encroached on public land.
