Even for three days, the police could not arrest the youth who was suspected of murdering 21-year-old Sushmita Khadka, who was found dead in the hotel room. On English New Year's Day, a young woman was found dead inside the room of Wagmati Hotel in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-9.
According to a police officer involved in the investigation, a young man from Okhaldhunga took the girl from Kageshwar Manohara Municipality-2 inside the hotel. The police have kept his identity secret on the suspicion that the young man may have been involved in the murder.
The dead girl was studying Japanese language while the absconding young man came to Kathmandu from Japan in the last week of November. The police expected to understand more about their relationship from the girl's mobile phone. But the mobile phone carried by the girl was not found in the room where the incident happened.
Information Officer of Police Complex Kathmandu Superintendent of Police Navraj Adhikari said that the body of the deceased has been sent to the Forensic Department of the University Teaching Hospital for post-mortem after completing the legal process.
