A two-day veterinary conference involving national and international veterinarians has been held in Kathmandu. The conference ended on Sunday with the aim of improving the economy of the country through the comprehensive development of livestock.

At the conference, veterinarians gave presentations on four topics. Veterinarian Dr. Pinky Yadav from India gave a presentation on detecting diseases in dogs by ultrasound, Veterinarian Dr. Sandeep Yadav from India gave a presentation about eye diseases in dogs. Prof. Dr. Dinesh Kumar Singh gave a presentation on the 'liquid treatment' method used on cattle and Dr. Sudeep Humagai on chicken diseases.

Out of 2,000 veterinarians registered in Nepal, 335 are involved in treatment. The conference organized by Veterinary Practitioners Association Nepal (VPAN) said that it has helped the veterinary doctors working in Nepal to develop the skills of animal disease diagnosis through the changing science and technology. VPN has been holding such a conference every year.
