In the first quarter of the current financial year, the cooperative department of Kathmandu Metropolitan City has disposed of 1,593 complaints.

Namraj Dhakal, the head of the department, informed that in the months of July, August, October and October of the current year, complaints were received in that number.

He informed that the complaints of members of the board of directors, savers, borrowers, landlords and employees who come to the department in the metropolis have been resolved.

'90 percent of the complaints filed by the savers are that they have not returned their savings from the cooperative,' he said He said that he did. He also said that a complaint will be sent to the police for further action and investigation.

There are 1 thousand 935 cooperative organizations in the metropolis. Of these, 1,744 cooperatives are affiliated to Copomis (Cooperative and Poverty Management Information System).

There are 1,624 savings and loan cooperatives. There are 264 multi-purpose, 3 labor, 15 agriculture, 13 consumer, 3 training, 2 education, common, communication, tea and tourism and 5 others. 2 have been cancelled. The metropolis informed that 752 of these also report annually.
