After two hours, the fire in Ghapasi was brought under control. A fire broke out in a three-and-a-half storey house located in Dhapasi, Tokha municipality-6 of Kathmandu on Thursday evening. According to Shanta Khanal, Ward President of Tokha Municipality-6, who reached the spot, the fire broke out in Bhaikaji Shrestha's concrete house.

She said that she got the information that the fire started when the electricity switch was turned on shortly after the gas fire was lit and the gas was extinguished. Khanal said, 'Since the house was inside the compound, the fire could not spread elsewhere.'

According to Information Officer of Kathmandu Police Complex, Superintendent of Police Navraj Adhikari, the fire has now been completely brought under control and further investigation of the incident is underway. It is estimated that the fire started around 5:30 in the evening.

There was no human loss from the fire. The fire was extinguished with the help of Nepal Police, Nepali Army, Armed Police and locals along with fire engines.
