A fire broke out in a house located in Dhapasi, Tokha municipality-6 of Kathmandu on Thursday evening. According to Tokha Municipality-6 Ward President Shanta Khanal, who was at the scene, the fire broke out in Bhaikaji Shrestha's concrete house.

 'Information has been received that the fire broke out when the electricity switch was switched on shortly after heating the gas fire and extinguishing the gas,' said Khanal, 'because the house was inside the compound, the fire could not spread elsewhere.

Although fire engines were used to put out the fire, it was not completely under control till the time of preparing this news. Information Officer of Kathmandu Police Complex, Superintendent of Police Navraj Adhikari informed that the intensity of the fire is decreasing. It is estimated that the fire started around 5:30 in the evening.
