Kathmandu Metropolitan City is going to celebrate '30th Metropolitan Day 2081'. The metropolis has informed that the day will be celebrated by organizing cultural and musical programs.

The official program of the Metropolis Day will be held at Sainik Mancha in Kathmandu and the cultural and musical program will be held at Tundikhel Maidan, according to the Metropolis.

Established on January 3, 1996, the institutional foundation of Safai Adda is the history of the metropolis. On November 29, 2005, Kathmandu city was declared Kathmandu metropolis. This day is celebrated as Metropolitan Day.
