Nabil Bank Limited and Dhulikhel Hospital have signed a letter of intent regarding a strategic partnership for strengthening essential health services and rehabilitation services.

The bank's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Manoj Kumar Gyawali and Dhulikhel Hospital's Administrative Director Dr. Birajman Karmacharya signed the letter on Monday.

The letter of intent states that both parties will collaborate in this area, especially considering the growing need for burn treatment, rehabilitation support and access to dialysis services and quality healthcare in Nepal.

Under the strategic partnership, Nabil Bank has provided financial assistance worth Rs 60 million to Dhulikhel Hospital to expand intensive care, prosthetics and dialysis services for burn patients across Nepal.

As per the agreement, a 10-bed intensive burn treatment unit will be established at Dhulikhel Hospital. Similar facilities will be expanded to other provinces under the leadership of the hospital management. The bank has also supported the establishment of two prosthetics and rehabilitation service units and further strengthening dialysis services.

Nabil Bank and Dhulikhel Hospital share the same objective of bringing about meaningful change in people's lives, so this collaboration will be meaningful, says Nirvan Kumar Chaudhary, Chairman of the bank.

'We have been working a lot in the health sector, and while working under social responsibility, we always set a benchmark for how many people we have been able to bring about meaningful change in their lives. Dhulikhel Hospital is also a hospital run with a similar objective. That is why I am confident that through this collaboration with the hospital, we can bring about a change in the lives of many people,' said Chairman Chaudhary.

CEO Gyawali believes that through this partnership, we will provide quality health services to the entire country, especially to patients from poor and marginalized communities.

'Nabil Bank has not considered corporate social responsibility as a liability, but as a commitment of the bank to society. Today, I pledge that we will not let any shortcoming in the objective with which we have started working with Dhulikhel Hospital,' he said.

Dhulikhel Hospital has been providing quality and affordable medical services to the community since its inception, said Dr. Ramkantha Makju Shrestha, Founder and Executive Director of Dhulikhel Hospital.

He said that this partnership with Nabil Bank will help us provide additional services in burn, prosthetic treatment and rehabilitation, as well as dialysis services.

Nabil has been providing various services in the health sector in partnership with various organizations as part of its corporate social responsibility.
