Mobility and delivery platform 'Indrive' has announced a fuel subsidy worth Rs 2.2 million to its drivers working in Nepal. The company has taken this step to reduce the financial burden on drivers due to the rising price and inflation of fuel. According to the company, the fuel subsidy program will be launched from 2 Baisakh 2083. This initiative is expected to reduce the operating costs of drivers and help stabilize their daily income.
In addition to the fuel subsidy, Indrive has implemented various schemes to increase drivers' earnings and strengthen operational flexibility. The company claims to charge the lowest service fee (commission) in the ride-hailing industry. It has also introduced performance-based bonuses, rewards and various incentive schemes and a facility where passengers and drivers can directly fix the fare by mutual agreement.
Rising fuel costs have affected drivers' income, so Sunita Jimmy Rai, Senior Driver Operations Specialist at InDrive Nepal, said that the company is working to create a system that provides immediate relief and long-term fairness.
'Justice is the foundation of our platform,' she said, 'Our priority is to empower drivers and make the service accessible to everyone. This will contribute to building a sustainable and balanced mobility ecosystem.'
