Huawei Enterprise brings integrated ICT infrastructure for banking and financial sectors

What you should know

Huawei Enterprise has unveiled an integrated state-of-the-art information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure targeting banks and financial institutions. According to the company, this infrastructure will provide high-performance storage, cloud infrastructure with data center virtualization solution (DCS), and data center network facilities.

Nepal's banking and financial sector is moving towards a complete digital transformation with the rapid expansion of digital banking, mobile wallets, real-time payments, online lending, and fintech services. The company says that this infrastructure brought by Huawei Enterprises will make it easier for banks and financial institutions to provide 24-hour services. Using this infrastructure, it will be easier to ensure real-time transactions, data security, regulatory compliance, and a smooth customer experience.

Huawei Enterprise Storage provides ultra-high IOPS and low latency for real-time transactions. According to Gartner's assessment, the integrated infrastructure has achieved first place in three indicators and second place in two others.

Downtime is unacceptable in the financial sector. Keeping the same issue in mind, Huawei's new-generation all-flash enterprise storage facility is said to maintain financial-level reliability of 99.99 percent. According to the company, the service will continue to run even if seven controllers in the service are not working.

According to Huawei, this integrated service includes high-level data security and backup facilities. Which helps in regulatory compliance and business continuity. Huawei's service has been recognized by the Toli Group. It is said that this structure will also help in fraud detection, risk analysis and data analysis.

This data center solution introduced by Huawei provides a simple and scalable infrastructure for Nepalese banks and financial institutions that are currently moving towards hybrid and private clouds. It integrates compute, storage, and networking into a single cloud platform, providing virtualization and centralized management. DCS is said to help deploy new digital services and fintech applications quickly, reduce complexity, and make IT investments more effective.

With the rapid expansion of digital banking services, secure and high-speed network infrastructure has become indispensable. The company says that Huawei's campus and data center network solution will provide secure and fast connectivity between headquarters, branches, and data centers.

It also features SD One, traffic management, and AI-based network management. This makes it easier to identify and resolve problems and provide convenient services to users. In addition, strong cybersecurity ensures the protection of sensitive financial data.

Huawei Nepal organized a special enterprise ICT event in Kathmandu in early 2026. The event was attended by bank leaders, ICT heads, and industry experts. The event featured presentations and discussions on how high-performance storage, DCS cloud infrastructure, and AI network solutions can collectively create a secure, scalable foundation for Nepal's financial sector.
