The date of the 'Koshi Excellence Award 2026', which was scheduled to be held on 7th February, has been changed due to the code of conduct for the upcoming House of Representatives elections.
According to the predetermined schedule, the award program was scheduled to be organized on 7th Falgun at Soaltee Westend Hotel in Itahari. The program is being organized by Nayan Media Foundation with the aim of promoting tourism, trade and socio-cultural identity of Koshi Province.
The organizers have reviewed the schedule of the program in view of the need to follow the code of conduct issued by the Election Commission, the statement issued by the organizers states.
According to the instructions, guidance and suggestions received from the Election Commission, the organizers have said that it has been decided to organize the program only after the election is completed. As per the decision, the 'Koshi Excellence Award 2026' will now be organized on 7th Chait at Soaltee Westend Hotel in Itahari. The individuals selected for the award, supporting and partner organizations, stakeholders and well-wishers have been formally informed about this.
‘Koshi Excellence Award’ is a program that has been running with the aim of recognizing and honoring individuals and organizations that have created a positive impact in various sectors of Koshi Province through leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation, social responsibility, institutional excellence, and long-term contributions.
The organizer has stated that the goal of making the second edition more effective and message-oriented based on the trust and dignity established by the first edition held last year.
Stating that it is the common responsibility of everyone to respect the rules, conditions, and standards set by the Commission during the sensitive time of elections, the organizer has apologized for the inconvenience caused to the stakeholders due to the change in the date. A commitment has been expressed to conduct the program in a more orderly, dignified, and high-level manner on the new date.
Nayan Media Foundation Chairman Pawan Adhikari said that the date of the program has been changed in full respect of the election code of conduct and the award distribution program will be conducted in a more systematic manner on the new date.
