BYD's official distributor for Nepal, Cymax Inc. Private Limited, has issued a public notice against fake and unauthorized digital pages and websites that are being operated by misusing the BYD brand name and has informed that necessary legal proceedings have been initiated.
According to the company, such fake platforms are trying to mislead customers and consumers by claiming to be the official channel of BYD Nepal.
Cymex Inc. has clarified that the website ‘bydpromotionnepal.com’, the Facebook page ‘BYD Dealler Fans’, the Telegram group ‘BYD Promotion’ and any other digital platforms with similar names are not the official media channels of BYD Nepal. The company has stated that Cymex Inc. Private Limited does not have any kind of relationship, collaboration, affiliation or official approval with these platforms.
According to the company, it is suspected that these unauthorized digital platforms are spreading false information and intend to mislead customers and commit financial fraud through various offers, schemes and promotions. Cymex Inc. has expressed concern that this may seriously affect customer trust, brand credibility and consumer safety.
The company has urged the general public, customers and stakeholders not to engage in any kind of contact, promotion or financial transactions with such fake and unauthorized digital platforms. For official information regarding BYD vehicles, offers, after-sales services and various campaigns in Nepal, it has been requested to obtain information only through the certified digital platforms and authorized dealers of Cymax Inc.
The company has also informed that necessary legal and regulatory processes have been initiated against unauthorized digital platforms to prevent misuse of the BYD brand name and protect the interests of customers and consumers. Cymax Inc. has stated that further steps will be taken in collaboration with the relevant bodies to control such activities in the coming days.
