Premier International IB Continuum School has organized a special basketball masterclass by internationally renowned basketball coach, mentor, and sports development expert, Nels Hawkins.

The program featured Premier's male and female basketball teams as well as Premier Sports Academy players, demonstrating the school's commitment to holistic student development through sports.

Nels Hawkins, who has served as a player and coach at Trinity Western and Seattle Pacific University, has guided basketball development around the world, taking on leadership roles in FIBA Olympic Solidarity and USA Basketball.

In the hour-long masterclass, Hawkins drew on his extensive international coaching experience to train players on endurance development, game intelligence, how to strengthen fundamental skills, and practical techniques that can be used in real-world situations. He also emphasized the importance of overcoming challenges, remaining disciplined, and making the most of available opportunities.

During the training, Hawkins encouraged players to think beyond the win-loss score and delivered a profound message about the impact of players' thinking, preparation, daily habits, and off-field decisions on their performance. The participating students described the experience as inspiring and shared that it helped them focus on long-term development, self-discipline and responsibility rather than winning.

This masterclass was made possible with the collaboration and support of the University Sports Association of Nepal. The school said that this partnership has provided Premier's young players with an opportunity to gain international-level learning experience.

Sports education at Premier International IB Continuum School is not limited to competition alone, it is deeply connected to character building and life skill development. By connecting students with experienced international mentors, the school is continuously advancing its goal of preparing students who are confident, disciplined and analytical. According to the school, success in both sports and life is possible through continuous effort, right thinking and personality development.
