Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited has contributed Rs 15 million to the Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund established by the Government of Nepal.
During a special ceremony organized at the Ministry of Finance on November 15, the company's Board of Directors Chairman Govindalal Sanghai, Director Kamlesh Kumar Agrawal and the company's Chief Executive Officer Praveen Raman Parajuli jointly handed over a check of Rs 15 million to Finance Minister Rameshwor Prasad Khanal.
Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited has provided assistance to the Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund for the reconstruction, economic revival and relief of damage to public physical infrastructure across the country during the Gen-G movement and demonstrations held on September 23 and 24. The company has stated that the assistance has been provided under its corporate social responsibility.
Speaking at the assistance handover ceremony, Nepal Life Insurance Company's Board of Directors Chairman Govindalal Sanghai said that Nepal Life has been running various programs under its corporate social responsibility program.
He said that there was a lot of damage to public physical infrastructure during the Gen-G movement and demonstrations and that he was happy to be able to assist in its reconstruction. He also expressed his commitment that the company is ready to provide such support in the coming days as well. He also urged the company to support various programs launched by the Nepal government for economic, social and physical transformation and to take initiatives for that.
Finance Minister Khanal said that such support would greatly contribute to the infrastructure development of Nepal and that such support is expected in the coming days as well.
