Global IME Bank pays 8 percent cash dividend

The general meeting has unanimously approved the proposal of 8 percent cash dividend (including tax) of the paid-up capital proposed by the bank to its shareholders from the retained profit of the fiscal year 2081/82.

Global IME Bank pays 8 percent cash dividend

The 19th Annual General Meeting of Global IME Bank Limited was held in Kathmandu on Wednesday. The meeting unanimously approved the proposal of 8 percent cash dividend (including tax) of the paid-up capital proposed by the bank to its shareholders from the retained profit for the fiscal year 2081/82.

The meeting approved the annual report and integrated financial statements presented by the bank's Chairman Chandra Prasad Dhakal on behalf of the Board of Directors and passed the proposal to distribute cash dividend.

The bank earned Rs. 7.23 billion in operating profit and Rs. 5.7 billion in profit after tax in the fiscal year 2081/82.

Chairman Dhakal said that the bank is committed to providing appropriate dividends to shareholders by fully complying with the policies and regulations of the Government of Nepal and Nepal Rastra Bank. He also said that the bank plans to continue expanding new business areas in a balanced manner as part of its business strategy.
