For the first time in Norvik International Hospital, a state-of-the-art test to detect lung problems, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), has been started.

Dr. Senior Consultant Pulmonologist. Under the leadership of Achyutabhakta Acharya, the 'ebus' service has been successfully launched.

Under this, a tube is inserted into the lungs and a biopsy is performed along with ultrasound. Through this, it is detected if there is/is not tuberculosis and cancer in the lungs. In addition, the stage of lung cancer is also detected by 'ebus'. 

Earlier, this type of test was available only in Veer Hospital and BP Koirala Memorial Hospital in Dharan at the government level.

"Now it has become easier to detect lung problems," said Dr. Acharya said, 'And, there will be no need to run to India for this.' Acharya said.
