Jyoti Foundation has provided scholarships to 16 schoolgirls from the earthquake-affected districts. Scholarships have been distributed to girl students studying from classes 1 to 10 in Jajarkot, Rukum Paschim and Salyan in collaboration with Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA).

The foundation has been distributing scholarships to girl students in earthquake-affected districts since the previous academic session. Jyoti Kumari Katuwal, president of the foundation, said that scholarships will be distributed every year to girl students studying up to class 10. 

"We have been distributing scholarships to 16 female students from class 1 to 10 since the previous academic session," she said, "We will continue the scholarship distribution program in the coming years as well." The foundation has been giving scholarships to two female students from Sanibheri Village, Chaurjahari Municipality and Aathbiskot Municipality in Rukum West and Bheri Municipality, Nalgad Municipality and Barekot Rural Municipality in Jajarkot.

President Katuwal said that scholarships have been started from the money collected by organizing musical programs. She said that the scholarship program will be delivered in all 10 districts of Karnali.  In

scholarship distribution program, Bheri municipality ward no. Deepak Rana, president of 1, said that everyone should help for the empowerment of girls. He said that the foundation's support to vulnerable children is important. 

This program is important to provide motivation to girls to study,' he said, 'girls who have received scholarships have also done well in their studies.'

Saniveri municipality ward no. Tek Bahadur Pun, Ward President of 1, said that investment in education is necessary in earthquake-affected areas. He said that it is a big thing to provide study environment by giving full scholarships to the daughters of families who lost their homes due to the earthquake.

Prem Pun, headmaster of Bheri Triveni Mavi, said that the scholarship program has greatly helped the girl children of the families who have become victims due to the earthquake. Ganga Vick, a student from Nalgad Municipality of Jajarkot, who is studying on a scholarship, said that she got an environment to study because of the scholarship.
